# ParagraphExtractionModeEnum

> ParagraphExtractionModeEnum in the ABBYY FineReader Engine API — Modes of paragraph extraction (normal, rough, etc.).

ParagraphExtractionModeEnum enumeration constants describe different modes of paragraph extraction.

## Elements

| Name | Description |
| - | - |
| PEM\\\_NormalExtraction | Normal paragraph extraction. |
| PEM\\\_RoughExtraction | Extracts the minimal number of paragraphs (either one paragraph per block or only paragraphs which start with a dropped capital). |
| PEM\\\_SingleLineParagraphsWithWordSeparationOnly | Each line is extracted to a separate paragraph without space formatting, blank spaces are to separate words only. |
