# SetBookmark Method of the Paragraph Object

This method sets a user bookmark to a string within a paragraph and adds an appropriate prefix to its name automatically.

## Syntax

### C++

```cpp theme={null}
HRESULT SetBookmark(
  int  Position,
  int  Count,
  BSTR Bookmark
);
```

### C\#

```csharp theme={null}
void SetBookmark(
  int    Position,
  int    Count,
  string Bookmark
);
```

### Visual Basic .NET

```vb theme={null}
Sub SetBookmark( _
  Position As Integer, _
  Count As Integer, _
  Bookmark As String _
)
```

## Parameters

Position

\[in] The index of the initial character of the bookmark.

Count

\[in] The length of the string that forms the bookmark.

Bookmark

\[in] This variable specifies the name of the bookmark to be set.
