# Supported Image Formats

> Image file formats ABBYY FineReader Engine 12 can open and save — BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PDF, and others, with the supported open/save direction per format.

ABBYY FineReader Engine 12 opens and saves image files in the following formats:
