# Update your demo version of ABBYY FlexiCapture 12

> Update a demo version of ABBYY FlexiCapture 12: finish processing, export your project, install the latest demo build, and reopen the project to upgrade it.

To update your demo version of FC 12:

1. Finish the processing of all of your current documents.
2. Download your project from the FC 12 Application Server into your file system. To do this, open your project on the Project Setup Station and click **Project → Export Project**.
3. Install the latest demo version of FC 12 on the same computer. The latest version will replace the earlier version.
4. Launch the newly installed demo version of FC 12 and open your project on the FC 12 Project Setup Station or in [FCAdminTools](/flexi-capture/admin-guide/projects-administration). When you open your project, it will be upgraded to the latest version of FC 12.

  If you do not encounter any errors while working with the latest version of FC 12, you can remove your earlier version of FC 12 from your file system.

  You can always reinstall your earlier demo version of FC 12 by completing the steps 1 through 4 above.
