# ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud Licensing

> Understand the two licenses needed for ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud, the Cloud License and Developer's Package License, with permitted stations and activation.

To access ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud, you need two licenses — a Cloud License and a Developer’s Package License. Each license determines (a) the number of pages that can be processed, (b) the allowed combination of stations, (c) the number of stations that can be used concurrently, and (d) the time period for which the stations can be used.

* **Cloud License** — This license allows you to process documents on ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud servers.
* **Developer’s Package License** — This license allows you to install the Developer’s Package locally to work with your projects locally or on the server (via the [Project Setup Station](/flexi-capture/architecture/setup-proj-station)), use the [FCAdminTools](/flexi-capture/admin-guide/projects-administration) tool for administering your projects from the command line, and create FlexiLayouts in [ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio](/flexi-capture/fls/overview/about).

The table below lists the ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud licenses and their permitted stations.

## Activate a Cloud License

You do not need to activate your Cloud License, because it is activated when your ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud tenant is created.

## Activate a Developer’s Package License

To activate your Developer’s Package License:

    Launch the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 License Manager.

  If you accidentally enter your Cloud License serial number in the License Manager when attempting to activate your Developer’s Package License, you will see the following error message: “Software license activation is not supported.” Enter your Developer’s Package License for the activation to complete successfully.
