# Setting up the Capture Data activity

> Follow the steps to use the Capture Data activity: configure the FlexiCapture project, build a UiPath process, set it up, and publish to Orchestrator.

To use the activity in a UiPath process, you will need to complete the following steps:

1. Configure the FlexiCapture project on the ABBYY FlexiCapture server depending on your [usage scenario](/flexi-capture/connectors/up-usage-scenarios).
2. [Create a process](https://studio.uipath.com/docs/about-automation-projects) in UiPath Studio or [use the sample UiPath project named ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Processor](/flexi-capture/connectors/ui-path/up-workflow), which is included in the distribution package.
3. [Configure the ABBYY FlexiCapture activity](/flexi-capture/connectors/ui-path/up-f-cconfig).\
   **Note:** After you have set up the FC project and the UiPath process activity, you can launch the process in debug mode for debugging.
4. Publish the UiPath process to Orchestrator for further use by the Robots. Refer to the UiPath Orchestrator Guide for information on [how to work with packages](https://orchestrator.uipath.com/docs/about-packages) and [how to set up Robots](https://orchestrator.uipath.com/docs/about-robots).
