# Fill in registration parameters

> Fill in registration parameters in the FlexiCapture mobile client: enter batch and document values by keyboard or voice, with mandatory fields marked in red.

To start using the FlexiCapture Mobile Client, connect to the FlexiCapture server. Specify the server URL, the company name (the tenant in a multi-tenant system), and your login and password. After you sign in, select a project. The project grants access to its batch types, Document Definitions, and registration parameters.

<Info>
  An Administrator must make sure the project contains all the necessary batch types and Document Definitions, that Operators can access them, and that the JSON file with registration parameters is in the project's file storage.
</Info>

## Enter registration parameters

To enter registration parameters for the batch, select **Specify parameters** from the batch menu. This is available only if the batch type includes the parameter list in the JSON file.

To enter registration parameters for the document, select **Specify parameters** from the document menu. This is available only if the document's type is specified and the Document Definition includes the parameter list in the JSON file. For an unknown document, entry is available if the batch type includes the parameter list for unknown documents in the JSON file.

To enter a parameter value, type it in the relevant field. You can also fill in parameters by voice input, if your device supports it. To switch to voice input, select a voice-controlled keyboard from your device's task menu.

## Mandatory text parameters

Mandatory text parameters are highlighted in red. If you leave one blank, the app prompts you to enter the required values before sending the batch.

Automatically filled parameters are read-only and cannot be edited. Their visibility is configured in settings.

<Note>
  To determine location from GPS coordinates, you must allow access to your geographic location. If you deny access, this parameter remains blank.
