# Exporting Classifiers

> Save a Classifier from FlexiLayout Studio as an encrypted .cfl file using the File menu Export command, and then attach it to an ABBYY FlexiCapture batch type.

Classifiers can be exported into data capture applications as `*.cfl` files. Exported Classifiers are securely encrypted to prevent unauthorized use.

## Export a Classifier

    Select **Export...** from the **File** menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Specify the file name and folder">
    In the **Export Classifier** dialog box, enter a name for the file and select the folder where it should be saved.
  </Step>

The resulting file can be added to an ABBYY FlexiCapture batch type.
