# Installing, running, and removing ABBYY FlexiLayout™ Studio

> Install, run, and remove ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio, which ships with ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 and requires the same protection key to start correctly.

ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio is installed and removed together with ABBYY FlexiCapture.

To run ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio select:

* **Start → All Programs → ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 / ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations →** **FlexiLayout Studio** for Standalone version.
* **Start → All Programs → ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations → Tools → FlexiLayout Studio** for Distributed version.

<Warning>
  A protection key is required for the correct operation of ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio. Make sure that your protection key is installed before running the program. Otherwise the program won't start.

As in the standard package ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio is supplied together with ABBYY FlexiCapture, you should use the same protection key for working with ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio as for ABBYY FlexiCapture.
