# Shortcut menu commands
> Look up shortcut menu commands in FlexiLayout Studio for the Batch, FlexiLayout, Training, Image, and Hypothesis windows plus blocks and elements.
Every window and object in ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio has a shortcut menu that you open by right-clicking.
## Batch shortcut menu
Right-click anywhere in the **Batch** window to display its shortcut menu.
| Command | Description |

| **Match** / **Classify** | Matches the FlexiLayout with the selected pages. / Classifies the selected pages. |
| **Set Matched Result as Reference** / **Set Classification Result as Reference** | Uses the matched alternative or the current classification result as a reference. |
| **Set Reference FlexiLayout Alternative** / **Set Reference Class** | Sets the reference layout alternative or reference class for the selected pages. |
| **Clear Alternative** | Clears the alternative. |
| **Replace Training Set with Selected Pages** | Creates a training set based on the selected pages. |
| **Add Selected Pages to Training Set** | Adds the selected pages to the training set. |
| **Remove Selected Pages from Training Set** | Removes the selected pages from the training set. |
| **Add Images...** | Opens the **Open Images** dialog box, where you can select one or more images to add to the batch. |
| **Add Images from Folder...** | Opens the **Add Images from Folder...** dialog box, where you can specify a folder to load the images from. |
| **Import Pages from FLS Project...** | Opens the **Import Pages from FLS Project…** dialog box, where you can select a FlexiLayout Studio project to import pages from. |
| **Pre-Recognize** | Pre-recognizes the selected pages. |
| **Copy Matched Layout to Reference** *(only available for images that were matched with their FlexiLayouts)* | Creates a [reference layout](/flexi-capture/fls/settings/etalon) for the image based on the results of FlexiLayout matching. |
| **Copy Matched Layout to Reference** | Compares the results of FlexiLayout matching against the reference layout. |
| **Assemble to Reference Documents...** | Opens the **Assemble to Reference Documents** dialog box, where you can set the reference assembly parameters and create a reference assembly of the selected documents. |
| **Move Pages to Batch...** | Moves the selected pages to another batch. |
| **Export Pages to Files...** | Opens the **Export Images to Folder...** dialog box, where you can specify export options for the selected images. |
| **Delete Pages** | Deletes the selected pages from the batch. |
| **Delete Page Data...** | Opens the [Select Data to Delete](/flexi-capture/fls/batch/page-data-del) dialog box, where you can select the page data to delete. |
| **Correct Orientation** | Automatically corrects the orientation of pages in the batch. The correct orientation is selected automatically based on the selected [pre-recognition language](/flexi-capture/fls/batch/prerecognition-param) and the settings made in the [Options](/flexi-capture/fls/batch/options) dialog box (**Tools → Options...**). |
| **Create Named Parameters for Elements...** | Opens a dialog box where you can select the FlexiLayout elements for which [named parameters](/flexi-capture/fls/settings/named-param) should be created. |
| **Paste Named Parameters from Clipboard...** | Pastes named parameters into the selected elements. |
| **Test Header** | Tests the header of the document. |
| **Test Footer** | Tests the footer of the document. |
| **Properties...** | Opens the **Properties** dialog box. |
## FlexiLayout shortcut menu
Right-click in the **FlexiLayout** window to display this shortcut menu.

| **Build FlexiLayout** | Builds the FlexiLayout. |
| **Save FlexiLayout** | Saves the FlexiLayout. |
| **Rename** | Renames the FlexiLayout. |
| **Add All Pages to Training Set** | Adds all the batch pages to the training set. |
| **Remove All Pages from Training Set** | Removes all the batch pages from the training set. |
| **Add FlexiLayout Alternative** | Adds a layout alternative. |
| **Import FlexiLayout Alternatives...** | Opens a dialog box where you can select the projects to import layout alternatives from. |
| **Paste** | Pastes the selection from the Clipboard. |
| **Pin FlexiLayout Alternative** | Makes the FlexiLayout alternative always active. If there are no pinned FlexiLayout alternatives, the alternative currently selected in the FlexiLayout tree is treated as active. |
| **Properties...** | Opens the **Properties** dialog box, where you can view the properties of the FlexiLayout. |
## Training shortcut menu
The appearance of the **Training** window depends on whether reference elements are marked up manually or automatically. When manual editing of reference elements is enabled, the **Training** window contains the **Fields** list and the **Static elements** list. When the program detects reference elements automatically, the **Training** window contains only the **Static elements** list.
### Fields list commands
| Command | Description |

| **Not Present** | Specifies that the field is not present on the page. |
| **Required** | Specifies that the field is required. |
| **Add Group** | Adds a field group. |
| **Add Field** | Adds a field. |
| **Initialize Fields By Blocks** | Uses pre-recognition results to create fields. |
| **Rename** | Renames a field. |
| **Delete** | Deletes a field. |
| **Delete All Fields** | Deletes all fields. |
### Static elements list commands
| Command | Description |
| ------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Not Present** | Specifies that the element is not present on the page. |
| **Required** | Specifies that the field is required. |
| **Add Autoreferences** | Creates reference elements based on the existing field layout and adds them to the current set. |
| **Create Identifiers** | Creates identifiers (required static elements that are based on frequently occurring keywords). |
| **Add Anchor Text** | Creates a **Static Text** element. |
| **Add Separator** | Creates a **Separator** element. |
| **Add Barcode** | Creates a **Barcode** element. |
| **Rename** | Renames an element. |
| **Delete** | Deletes an element. |
| **Delete All Static Elements** | Deletes all static elements. |
## Block shortcut menu
Right-click a block in the **FlexiLayout** tree to display its shortcut menu.
| Command | Description |
| ---------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Cut** | Removes the block and copies it to the Clipboard. |
| **Copy** | Copies the block to the Clipboard. |
| **Paste** | Pastes the block into the FlexiLayout. |
| **Delete** | Deletes the selected block. |
| **Disable** | Disables the selected element or block (that is, makes it temporarily unavailable). |
| **Build FlexiLayout** | Builds the FlexiLayout. |
| **Save FlexiLayout** | Saves the FlexiLayout. When you build a FlexiLayout, any changes you have made are saved automatically. |
| **Show Matching Statistics** | Shows in the **Log** window the number of pages in the current batch that have been matched with the selected block. |
| **Show Block References** | Opens the [dependency browser](/flexi-capture/fls/template/reference-browser), where you can view the dependencies of the selected block. |
| **Properties...** | Opens the **Properties** dialog box, where you can view the properties of the block. |
### Add a block
Point to **Add block** and select the type of block to create: **Text**, **Table**, **Barcode**, **Checkmark**, **Checkmark Group**, **Picture**, **Non-Recognized**, **Group**, or **Repeating Group**.
## Layout alternative shortcut menu
The following table describes the commands on the shortcut menu of layout alternatives.
| Command | Description |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Add Element** | Creates an element in the selected layout alternative. |
| **Autocreate identifiers** | Creates [identifiers](/flexi-capture/fls/template/ftemplate-training#identifiers) for the layout alternative currently being trained. |
| **Train Alternative** | Trains the layout alternative. |
| **Train and Test Alternative** | Trains a layout alternative and applies it to all pages of the current layout alternative. |
| **Cut**, **Copy**, **Paste** | These commands cut, copy, and paste the current selection. |
| **Disable** / **Enable** | Disables or enables the layout alternative. |
| **Rename** | Renames the layout alternative. |
| **Delete** | Deletes the layout alternative. |
| **Delete All Child Elements** | Deletes all child elements of the layout alternative. |
| **Import Alternative Elements...** | Imports elements of a layout alternative into the FSP project. |
| **Find in Code** | Searches the code of FlexiLayout elements. |
| **Properties...** | Opens the **Properties** dialog box of a layout alternative. |
## Element shortcut menu
Right-click an element in the **FlexiLayout** tree to display its shortcut menu.
| Command | Description |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Cut** | Removes the element and copies it to the Clipboard. |
| **Copy** | Copies the element to the Clipboard. |
| **Paste** | Pastes the element from the Clipboard into the FlexiLayout. |
| **Disable** | Disables the selected element (that is, makes it temporarily unavailable). |
| **Rename** | Renames the selected element. |
| **Delete** | Deletes the selected element. |
| **Test Element** | Tests the selected element. |
| **Find in Code** | [Finds and replaces](/flexi-capture/fls/template/findin-advanced-code) text in the code on the **Advanced** tab of the selected element and its subelements. |
| **Show Element References** | Opens the [dependency browser](/flexi-capture/fls/template/reference-browser), where you can view the dependencies of the selected element. |
| **Properties...** | Opens the **Properties** dialog box, where you can view the properties of the selected element. |
### Add an element
Point to **Add Element** and select the type of element to create in the elements branch: **Group**, **Labeled Field**, **Line of Elements**, **First Found**, **Static Text**, **Character String**, **Paragraph**, **Date**, **Currency**, **Phone**, **Separator**, **White Gap**, **Barcode**, **Object Collection**, **Region**, **Table**, or **Repeating Group**. Two element types mark document boundaries: **Header** indicates the start of a new document, and **Footer** indicates the end.
### Convert an element
Point to **Convert Element To** and select the type to convert the element to: **Header**, **Footer**, **Group**, **First Found**, **Repeating Group**, **Static Text**, **Labeled Field**, **Character String**, **Paragraph**, **Date**, **Currency**, **Phone**, **Separator**, **Barcode**, **Object Collection**, **White Gap**, **Region**, or **Table**.
### Train an element
| Command | Description |
| ------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Train Element Parameters** | Opens the **Choose Trained Element Parameters** dialog box, where you can compare the new and old values of the element parameters. |
| **Generate Element Relations** | Selects elements for which to create relations. |
| **Create Relation Offsets** | Creates relation offsets. |
## Image shortcut menu
Right-click anywhere in the [Image](/flexi-capture/fls/dif/image-window) window to display its shortcut menu.
| Command | Description |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Match** *(FlexiLayout projects only)* | Matches the FlexiLayout against the open image. The results of FlexiLayout matching appear as detected regions of elements and blocks in the **Image** window, and as element hypotheses in the [Hypotheses](/flexi-capture/fls/dif/hypotheses-window) window. |
| **Match Reference Document** *(FlexiLayout projects only)* | Matches the reference document with the image. |
| **Classify** *(Classifier projects only)* | Classifies the current image. |
| **Show Reference Alternative in Tree** *(available only if a reference alternative is available for the pages)* | Shows the reference alternative in the project tree. |
| **Set Reference FlexiLayout Alternative** | Specifies a [reference FlexiLayout alternative](/flexi-capture/fls/batch/image) for the selected pages. |
| **Clear Alternative** | Clears the FlexiLayout alternative of all the detected elements and blocks on the selected pages. |
| **Go to Page...** | Goes to the page with the specified number. |
| **Pre-Recognize** | [Pre-recognizes](/flexi-capture/fls/batch/prerecognition) the selected pages. |
| **Copy Matched Layout to Reference** *(only available for images that were matched with their FlexiLayouts)* | Creates a [reference layout](/flexi-capture/fls/settings/etalon) for the image. |
| **Hide Active Blocks or Elements** | Hides the selected blocks or elements on the image. |
| **Show Search Area** | Shows/hides the search area of an element after a FlexiLayout has been applied. |
| **Show Pre-Recognition Area** | Shows/hides a pre-recognition area. |
| **Show Captions of Regions on Image** *(FlexiLayout projects only)* | Shows/hides element captions after a FlexiLayout has been applied. |
| **Show Captions of Inactive Regions** *(available when the **Show Captions of Regions on Image** option is selected)* | Shows/hides the captions of all non-selected elements. |
| **Delete Pages** *(Matched layout only)* | Deletes the selected pages. To select multiple pages, press and hold the **Ctrl** key. |
| **Test Element** | [Tests](/flexi-capture/fls/settings/test-element) the selected element. |
| **Properties...** | Opens the **Properties** dialog box. |
### Scale the image
| Command | Description |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **10% ... 800%** | Sets the scale of the **Image** window from 10% to 800%. |
| **Fit Width** | Fits the width of the image to the window. |
| **Fit Height** | Fits the height of the image to the window. |
| **Fit Page** | Fits the entire image to the window. |
| **Zoom In** | Makes the image 25% larger. |
| **Zoom Out** | Makes the image 25% smaller. |
### Show image objects
| Command | Description |

| **Show All Objects** | Displays all the objects detected during pre-recognition. |
| **Hide All Objects** | Hides all the objects detected during pre-recognition. |
| **Recognized Words** | Displays only the objects classified as Text during pre-recognition. |
| **Recognized Lines** | Displays only the objects classified as Recognized Lines during pre-recognition. |
| **Separators** | Displays only the objects classified as Separators during pre-recognition. |
| **Barcodes** | Displays only the objects classified as Barcodes during pre-recognition. |
| **Raw Objects** | Displays all objects identified by pre-recognition. |
To select multiple types of objects, hold down the **Ctrl** key while clicking the buttons on the toolbar or selecting the menu items.
### Image tools
| Command | Description |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Select** | Selects an existing block on the image. |
| **Scroll** | Scrolls images. |
| **Measure Rectangle** | Detects the coordinates and sizes of objects on the image and copies them to the Clipboard. |
| **Create Block** | Draws an area on the image and creates a new block. |
| **Create Element** | Draws an area on the image and creates a new element. |
| **Draw Location** *(FlexiLayout projects only)* | Selects the image area that corresponds to the selected block or element. |
| **Add Region Part** *(only available if you have selected the **Reference layout** option)* | Adds a rectangular area to the selected block. |
| **Cut Region Part** *(only available if you have selected the **Reference layout** option)* | Cuts a segment from the selected block. |
| **Delete Region** *(only available if you have selected the **Reference layout** option)* | Deletes the selected block. |
| **Add Vertical Separator** *(only available if you have selected the **Reference layout** option)* | Adds a vertical separator to the selected **Table** block. |
| **Add Horizontal Separator** *(only available if you have selected the **Reference layout** option)* | Adds a horizontal separator to the selected **Table** block. |
| **Delete Separator** *(only available if you have selected the **Reference layout** option)* | Deletes a separator from the selected **Table** block. |
### Image operations
| Command | Description |
| ---------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Correct Orientation** | Automatically corrects the orientation of pages. The correct orientation is selected automatically based on the selected [pre-recognition language](/flexi-capture/fls/batch/prerecognition-param) and the settings made in the [Options](/flexi-capture/fls/batch/options) dialog box (**Tools → Options...**). |
| **Rotate Clockwise** | Rotates the image by 90° clockwise. |
| **Rotate Counter Clockwise** | Rotates the image by 90° counter-clockwise. |
| **Rotate Upside Down** | Rotates the image by 180°. |
| **Flip Horizontally** | Flips the image horizontally. |
| **Flip Vertically** | Flips the image vertically. |
| **Invert** | Inverts the image (turns black into white and vice versa). |
| **Despeckle** | Removes excess dots from the image. |
## Hypothesis shortcut menu
Right-click anywhere in the right-hand pane of the **Hypothesis** window to display its shortcut menu.
| Command | Description |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Show Details** | Displays the hypotheses for the subelements in the selected **Group** and **Table** element. |
| **Go One Level Up** | Goes one level up the tree and displays the hypotheses of the parent **Group** element. Available for all hypotheses except those for the root element (**SearchElements**). |
| **Expand Active** | Displays all the hypotheses for the next element that originate from the current hypothesis. Available for hypotheses that have more than one child hypothesis for the next element. |
| **Expand All** | Displays all the hypotheses, including those that are not from the best path. Available for any hypothesis for any element. |
| **Collapse All** | Hides all the hypotheses that are not from the best path. Available for any hypothesis for any element. |
| **Show Search Area** | Shows/hides the search area for the element that the hypothesis has been formulated for. |
| **Element Properties...** | Opens the **Properties** dialog box, where you can view the properties of the element that the hypothesis was formulated for. |
## Classifier Log window shortcut menu
Right-click the **Classifier Log** window to open its shortcut menu.
| Command | Description |
| ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Display Hypotheses** | Displays the hypotheses generated for the elements of the classifier. |
| **Copy Selected Text** | Copies the selected text to the Clipboard. |
| **Export Log** | Opens the **Export classification log** dialog box, where you can save the log as a text file. |
| **Clear Log** | Clears the log. |
