# Classifier projects

> Classifier projects group document pages into classes: define the classifier structure, add identifier elements, and then build, debug, and test it.

A **Classifier project** contains a set of [elements](/flexi-capture/fls/template/elements) you can use to quickly identify pages. The classification result is saved in the properties of each page as a text string. For example, the name of the appropriate FlexiLayout (or layout alternative) may be saved in the page properties.

In the project, you create a classifier, specify its structure, add identifier elements, and specify their properties. You can also debug, build, and test the classifier.

A classifier project includes:

* The classifier, with the required classification stages and identifier elements
* The batch of images based on which the classifier is created and debugged
