# Deleting an Entry Field Element

> Select an Entry Field element and remove it from a machine-readable form via the Edit menu or shortcut menu Delete command in ABBYY FormDesigner.

To delete an **Entry Field** element:

1. Select the **Entry Field** element you wish to delete.
2. On the **Edit** menu, select **Delete** (or select the **Delete** item on the shortcut menu).
