# Editing an Anchor Element

> Change anchor type, size, position, and line width in the Element Properties window; type and size settings apply to every anchor on the form.

The **Type**, **Size**, and **Line width** (corners) properties apply to the whole form; position and size are set per anchor and don't depend on the form type.

Change anchor properties in the **Element Properties** window (bottom-right of the [main window](/flexi-capture/form-designer/main-program-window), shown when **View →** Element Properties is selected).

## Element

**Type** — Anchor.

**ID** — A unique identifier of the element.

## Position and size

**Left** — Distance between the left edge of the form and the element.

**Top** — Distance between the top edge of the form and the element.

**Width** — Width of the anchor element.

**Height** — Height of the anchor element.

## Anchor

**Type** — Select the anchor type from the drop-down list:

* **Black square**
* **Corner**

Each form can contain only one anchor type.

**Size** — Sets the size of the anchor:

* the length of each side of the black square, or
* the length of each side of the corner

**Line width** *(corners only)* — Sets the line width of the corner sides (0.3–1 mm).
