# Toolbars

> Work with the four ABBYY FormDesigner toolbars — Standard, Design Tools, Formatting, and Form Elements — and show, hide, or resize their buttons.

There are four toolbars in ABBYY FormDesigner: [Standard](/flexi-capture/form-designer/tool-bars-standard), [Design Tools](/flexi-capture/form-designer/tool-bars-designer-tool), [Formatting](/flexi-capture/form-designer/tool-bars-formatting), and[Form Elements](/flexi-capture/form-designer/tool-bars-form-elements).

You can show/hide a toolbar by selecting/deselecting it in [View](/flexi-capture/form-designer/ap-menu-file) **→ Toolbars** or by selecting the appropriate command on the shortcut menu (right-click a toolbar to display its shortcut menu).

The toolbars contain buttons that provide quick access to the program's tools and commands. The same commands can also be accessed via the corresponding menus or by pressing their shortcut keys.

You can customize the size of the toolbar buttons. By the default, the buttons are small. To change the size of the buttons select **View → Toolbars →** **Large Toolbar Buttons**.

To see what a button does, simply rest the cursor on the button until a ToolTip appears.
