# License Manager

> Manage ABBYY FlexiCapture protection keys with the License Manager utility: activate, update, and deactivate licenses and view usage statistics.

The **License Manager** utility manages protection keys and gathers information about the status of ABBYY FlexiCapture licenses.

To launch the License Manager utility, go to **Start → All Programs → ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Servers** and select **ABBYY FlexiCapture License Manager**.

## Add a new license

1. In the ABBYY FlexiCapture License Manager main window, click **Activate License...**.
2. In the dialog box that opens, enter a new serial number and click **Next**.
3. Select a license activation method and activate your license.
4. After the new license appears in the main window, select it from the Licenses list and click **Select**.

## Update a license

1. In the License Manager main window, select the license you want to update and click **Update License...**.
2. Activate your license over the Internet or by email, following the on-screen instructions.

## Deactivate a license

1. In the License Manager main window, select the license you want to deactivate.
2. From the License menu, select **Deactivate...**.
3. Follow the instructions in the Deactivation Wizard.

## View license parameters

In the License Manager, you can view the [parameters of your licenses](/flexi-capture/license-manager/license-param).

1. Select a license in the list.
2. Click **License Parameters...**.

The parameters of the current license are displayed in brief view in the main application window.

## View license usage statistics

By default, the option to gather statistics is enabled.

1. Select a license, and then select the corresponding item in the **Service** menu to view its usage statistics.
2. In the dialog box that opens, review the total number of available and used pages for the license. To change the period for which statistics are formed, specify it and click **Refresh** to display current information.
3. To get detailed statistics for each station, click **Export...** and save the statistics file in `.txt` or `.csv` format. The resulting file contains the workstation name, the user name, the processing date, and the number of processed pages.

To turn off gathering statistics, select the corresponding item in the **Service** menu.
