# Rule verification
> Handle violated rules and format errors in ABBYY FlexiCapture: warning and error flags mark fields and the Recheck Rules command re-validates corrected data.
Unfulfilled **rules** and **format errors** affecting one field are flagged with a yellow flag icon 
(warning) or a red flag icon 
(error). Warnings and errors generated by rules that affect several fields are flagged with the 
and 
icons respectively.
Rule errors are displayed in a separate window of the document editor, and documents with violated rules are marked with red flags there.
In the case of violated rules, the Operator must check the quality of data recognition. If it is a recognition error, the Operator must correct it. If it is a form-filling error that cannot be corrected, the Operator should not export the document. Documents with errors can be verified later by comparing them with hardcopy documents or other available sources.
To re-check data for rule errors, click the arrow to the right of the Run Verification... button and select the Recheck Rules menu item. If rules are not violated after the field values are corrected, the flags will be removed.
