# Testing setup specifications

> Hardware and virtual machine layout for the ABBYY FlexiCapture test on Huawei FusionCube 6000, detailing nodes, CPU cores, RAM, storage, and network roles.

ABBYY FlexiCapture and the Database Server are deployed on a Huawei FusionCube 6000 server with two 10 Gb/s network cards and four XH628 v3 nodes.

In its top configuration, each node has:

* 2 × Intel Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors, 18 cores (36 threads) each
* 256 GB DDR4 RAM
* Hard drive arrays: an 800 GB PCIe SSD card cache, 2 × 600 GB SAS, and 10 × 4 TB SATA disks

## Virtual machines

The nodes host virtual machines for the FlexiCapture components and the other roles needed for testing:

* 1 virtual machine for the Application Server
* 1 virtual machine for the Database Server
* 1 virtual machine for the Processing and Licensing Servers
* 10 virtual machines for Processing Stations
* 8 virtual machines for load generators that emulate user input
* 1 virtual machine for the backend system, where all processing results are exported

The two network cards serve different purposes:

* One creates a VLAN for communication between all virtual machines inside FusionCube.
* The other connects each virtual machine to FusionStorage.

FusionStorage combines all the hard drive arrays into two separate stores:

* One is dedicated to the FlexiCapture FileStorage (500/600 MB/s read/write).
* The other hosts the hard drives of all virtual machines (900/700 MB/s read/write).

So each virtual machine has two 2 Gb/s NICs: one for the VLAN and one for the FileStorage system. Its virtual CPU cores are, in fact, threads on the Intel Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors.

The table below lists the specifications for each role.

| Machine role                                                                 | Requirement                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               |
