# Configuring the program

> Configure ABBYY FlexiCapture for mass document input by creating a project with image import profiles, Document Definitions, and batch types.

Prior to the mass input of documents, you need to configure the program for processing documents of the required type. All of the required settings are configured on  *(Distributed)* Project Setup *(Standalone)* Administrator Station.

To configure document processing, create a **project** comprising:

* image import profiles
* one or several Document Definitions
* batch types for processing.

You may include various Document Definitions in the project, in which case various documents will be processed as part of the same project, depending on the Document Definition applied. However, if document flows do not cross, you may create separate projects for them.
