# Types of rule errors

> Reference for the rule-error enumeration in the ABBYY FlexiCapture Reporting service, mapping codes 0-17 to format, merge, assembly, and key-field errors.

## Possible values

| **Value** | **Description**                                                       |
| --------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 0         | Rule error.                                                           |
| 1         | Format error.                                                         |
| 2         | Version merge error (for double data verification only).              |
| 3         | Region match error.                                                   |
| 4         | Rule error not associated with any particular rule.                   |
| 5         | Errors in one of the document sections (for document sets only).      |
| 10        | Unknown assembly error.                                               |
| 11        | Required document element missing (for document sets only).           |
| 12        | Redundant or invalid element (for document sets only).                |
| 13        | This value code has been deprecated.                                  |
| 14        | Assembly rule error.                                                  |
| 15        | Key fields do no match.                                               |
| 16        | Child documents contain assembly rule errors.                         |
| 17        | Documents of this type are not allowed at the root of the batch type. |
