# Enabling custom reports

> Enable a custom report in ABBYY FlexiCapture by placing its rdlc or rdl and XML files in the CustomReports folder, and then activating it from Monitoring Console.

In order to enable a custom report, place the [report](/flexi-capture/reports/development/development) (\*.rdlc or \*.rdl) and the report's [xml file](/flexi-capture/reports/development/xml-file) in the FlexiCapture12\CustomReports subfolder of the IIS root folder (usually C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\FlexiCapture12\Monitoring\CustomReports), and then enable it through the Administration and Monitoring Console. Examples of custom reports are placed in this folder when FlexiCapture is installed.
