# Image enhancement profiles

> Apply, create, edit, import, and export image enhancement profiles to automatically process image flows in the Scanning Station or Project Setup Station.

Image enhancement profiles automatically apply changes to a flow of images from the Scanning Station or the Application Server.

Apply a profile to an image flow in one of the following ways:

* Assign it to a batch type in the Scanning Station, on the **Image Processing** tab of the [Batch Type Properties](/flexi-capture/scanning-station/shared/interface/batch-type-properties) dialog box.
* Apply it automatically when [loading input images](/flexi-capture/scanning-station/shared/interface/image-processing-options), on the **Image Processing** tab of **Tools → Options...**.
* Assign it to a batch type or an import profile in the Project Setup Station.

The Scanning Station includes two built-in profiles:

* **Photo** – Preset editing settings for photos of documents.
