# Tables

> Table fields in ABBYY FlexiCapture extract tabular data; open the properties dialog to configure general properties, table columns, and rule validation.

When you [create a table](/flexi-capture/templates/create-table), it is assigned default properties. You can change properties by selecting Properties... from the shortcut menu. The properties modification dialog box comprises three tabs for different groups of properties:
