# Image import

> Overview of image import in ABBYY FlexiCapture, with links to import profiles, blank page detection, user attachments, and description file setup.

Document processing starts with adding new images: these can be either hard-copy documents that need to be scanned, or existing electronic images. Typically, new images are added on the Scanning Station (see Scanning Station Help for detailed instructions). However, new images can also be added on the Verification Station, on the Project Setup Station, or automatically from Hot Folders.
