# Exclusion of a region from recognition

> Exclude a region from recognition in ABBYY FlexiCapture by marking areas with explanatory text that interfere with data extraction from a field.

Sometimes it is necessary to exclude a certain region from recognition, for example, a region with explanatory text that complicates data extraction from the field.
