# Problems with batch processing

> Troubleshoot ABBYY FlexiCapture batches that are not processed or exported by checking the Processing Server, Hot Folder import, and API batch submission.

Two signs indicate that the System is not processing a batch. The batch does not appear on the Verification Station, or it is never exported under unattended processing.

## Check the Processing Server and Stations

Make sure the Processing Server is running, and that at least one Processing Station is running and permitted to carry out the relevant jobs. For more information, see [Processing Station problems](/flexi-capture/troubleshooting-guide/tg-communication-processing-station).

## Check a batch imported from a Hot Folder

Confirm each of the following:

* Automatic checking is enabled in the project import profile, with the **Check every x seconds** option turned on and a check period set.
* Hot Folder import profile processing is enabled for the project on the `/FlexiCapture12/monitoring/#Settings/Projects` page.
* The Processing Server Monitor logs contain Hot Folder import jobs.

## Check a batch submitted through the API

The batch must have been submitted with the [processbatch](/flexi-capture/api/methods/process-batch) method. To confirm, open the Verification Station, find the batch, and open it. A value of `0` in the **Task Id** column means the batch was never submitted for processing.
