# Scanning and correcting images

> Overview of the scanning stage on the Web Capture Station: create a batch, process images, set registration parameters, and send the batch to the server.

At the scanning stage, an Operator does the following.

    [Create a new batch](/flexi-capture/web-stations/scanning) to hold the scanned images or images from a folder.

      Before you scan or load images from a folder, select a batch type for the new document batch. When scanning documents, specify or modify the [scanning options](/flexi-capture/web-stations/scan-properties).

  <Step title="Process the images">
    [Process the images and specify registration parameters](/flexi-capture/web-stations/correcting), if necessary.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the batch">
    Send the batch to the server for further processing.
