# Create a batch and submit it for recognition

> Create a batch and submit it for recognition on FlexiCapture web stations: add and enhance pages, form and merge documents, and send the batch to the server.

After you create a new batch and add documents to it, the batch opens for editing so you can process the images before submitting it for recognition. You can also reopen a batch for editing from the list of active batches on the station's [main page](/flexi-capture/web-stations/main) (the **main scanning page** on the Web Capture Station, or the **Batch view** on the Web Scanning Station).

## Form and submit a batch

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add pages">
    Add all required [pages](/flexi-capture/web-stations/correcting#pages) and place them in order. If necessary, enhance the images and flip pages.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Form documents">
    Form [documents](/flexi-capture/web-stations/correcting#documents), if it was not done automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the batch">
    Send the [batch](/flexi-capture/web-stations/correcting#batch) to the server.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  If documents are formed in the Web Capture Station or the Web Scanning Station, they are preserved during later processing. If the documents are not formed in the sent batch, the server forms them automatically according to the settings specified in the import or recognition stage.
</Note>

## Batch view interface

The window contains three panels:

<Note>
  When you first enter the web station, the window shows only the **Thumbnails view**. The two other panels are collapsed in the top-right toolbar. The web station remembers the layout of the panels when you close it.
