The document editor lets you check recognition accuracy and correct wrongly recognized characters, and correct or add data that was missed when filling the document. ## Correct errors in the document editor Click Go to next error button to go to the next error. Check the field value and correct it if necessary. Press **Enter**. The station moves to the next field that needs checking. You can also use the **Tab** key to move between fields on the data form. Repeat the previous two steps until all fields are corrected. If a field was not matched, select its region. Depending on the settings specified in the Document Definition, the field value is either added from cache, or you need to re-recognize the region on the server. Click **Check Rules** to check the rules on the server. If rule errors are found, correct them. ## Document form The **Document form** lists the fields available for editing and the data extracted from them. When you fill out a document and recognize its data, these errors may appear: * Rule execution or check errors. These fields are highlighted in red. * Rule warnings or non-matched fields. These fields are highlighted in yellow. * Fields that require verification. These fields have a red underline. ### Suggested values For some fields, ABBYY FlexiCapture suggests possible values, for example, for a summarizing result field or a key field that recurs on different pages. These fields show the Suggested values button icon in their lower-right corner. Click it to open the list of suggested values. ### Check rules The **Check Rules** button starts a server-side rule check. Most rules are checked locally in the Web Verification Station as soon as you change a field value. Some cases, however, require you to click **Check Rules** after you change field values: * Value normalization is applied. * The number and text values of a number are being compared. * The rule is a script rule that uses objects not supported for a local rule check on a Web Verification Station. For script rules, make sure all objects used in the script are supported. Each object's support is noted in [its description](/flexi-capture/appendix/scripts/objects). If a script object is not supported, a rule error appears during verification and prompts you to click **Check Rules**. By default, errors of all types are displayed in the errors area. To hide errors of a certain type (format, rules, matching, or region), click its icon in the errors area. ## Page image **Page image** is located in the central pane of the task window. Use the **Zoom** tool to change the image scale: | Zoom control | Action | | ------------ | ----------------------------------- | | **+** | Zooms in. | | **-** | Zooms out. | | **↔** | Fits the page to the screen width. | | **↕** | Fits the page to the screen height. | To zoom with the mouse wheel, hover the pointer over the pane, hold down **Ctrl**, and scroll the wheel. Scrolling the wheel without holding down **Ctrl** moves the image vertically. By default, the pane displays the part of the image that contains the field selected in the data form. The page image contains field regions that indicate where data is recognized. If regions for some fields were not matched or were matched incorrectly, you may need to draw the field region or change its borders or location. Editing the region is not always necessary. Sometimes it is faster to enter the value manually in the data form. Entering a value manually without creating a region has a drawback. For example, when you export the document to PDF with a text layer, the field value is not associated with the location of the text on the image. ### Create or edit a field region If you need to create or edit the field region, the outcome depends on the Document Definition settings: * **Full-text recognition caching enabled.** When caching results of full text recognition is enabled in the Document Definition properties, the recognized value is added to the field from cache as you create or edit the region. If you edit the field value manually, further operations with the region do not change the field value, so your changes are not lost. * **Full-text recognition caching disabled.** When caching is not used, the region must be recognized on the server after you create or edit it. To send new or edited regions for recognition, click **Check Rules**. After the rule check, the new or edited regions are re-recognized. ABBYY FlexiCapture performs full-text recognition only before matching flexible Document Definitions. Semi-structured documents are documents whose structure and section order can differ from one document to another. ### Original page image If some essential data was deleted during automatic image processing, you can open the original page image in your browser. To do so, the **Store original image during processing** option must be enabled in the image processing settings. When this option is enabled, you can use a Web Station to view the original, unprocessed image. The following limitations apply: * TIFF files must be downloaded to your local storage before you can view them. * Original page images for PNG and BMP files are not supported. ## Add and delete table separators If a table region is selected on a document image, use the tools in the top-left corner of the document image pane to add or delete separators. ### Add a table separator Do one of the following: * Place the mouse pointer inside the table region, press and hold the left mouse button, and draw a separator. * Select either Add vertical separator button (vertical separator) or Add horizontal separator button (horizontal separator), and then click inside the table region where you want to add the separator. ### Delete a table separator Select the Delete separator button tool, place the mouse pointer inside the table region, and click the separator you want to delete. ## Errors area **Errors area** is located in the bottom-right part of the page. It shows all the errors detected in the batch. If the error is associated with a mismatch of the key fields, the field values under each page are displayed in red. If the error is associated with an uncertainly recognized page in a document, the name of this page and the name of the parent document are highlighted in red. | | Single-field rule error icon Multifield rule error icon | Single-field or multi-field rule error. | | Single-field rule warning icon Multifield rule warning icon | Single-field or multi-field rule warning, or the document has non-matched fields. | | Field requires verification icon | Field requires verification. | | Unmatched region icon | Unmatched region. This error means that the **Should be matched** option is selected in the field properties. | If necessary, you can hide information about a particular error type by clicking the corresponding button at the top of the errors area. This is useful when an operator wants to process errors of a specific type.
