# Database cleanup

> Clean up the ABBYY FlexiCapture database to prevent performance drops: open Settings → Cleanup in the console and delete data manually or automatically.

The database can accumulate a lot of data as you use ABBYY FlexiCapture, causing performance drops. To avoid this, you can delete the data in the database.

To adjust database cleanup options, open the Console and click **Settings → Cleanup**. You can delete data [manually](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/mmc-db-manual) or [automatically](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/mmc-db-auto).
