# Manual database cleanup

> Run a manual database cleanup in ABBYY FlexiCapture to free space: delete processed batches, event log records, or report data older than a chosen period.

You can delete data from the database manually. This is useful if you unexpectedly run out of space and ABBYY FlexiCapture stops working.

## Delete data manually

  <Step title="Open the cleanup settings">
    Open the Administration and Monitoring Console and click **Settings → Cleanup**.
  </Step>

  </Step>

  <Step title="Select what to delete">
    Specify what data to delete:

    * **Processed batches** – Deletes processed batches and the related event log records. This deletes only batches scheduled for deletion according to the batch type's deletion settings. You specify these settings (how long processed batches are kept) on the Project Setup Station.
    * **Event log** – Deletes all event log records that are not related to processed batches.
    * **Report data** – Deletes all statistical data for reports.

    <Note>
      This command does not delete report data imported from an earlier version of ABBYY FlexiCapture. That data is deleted when event log data is deleted.
    </Note>
