# Business process monitoring

> Use the Business Process Reporting feature in ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 to collect metrics and build reports on client-side processes via the console and API.

FlexiCapture is usually involved in client-side business processes. To control and improve any business process, the appropriate metrics are required.

Starting from ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Release 4, the **Business Process Reporting** feature has been introduced, which allows you to collect data that can be used to compile various reports.

ABBYY FlexiCapture has an API that can be used to get business process monitoring data from the Business Process Reporting data storage.
