# Application Server setup

> Configure database connection settings for the FlexiCapture Application Server, with support for SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, and PostgreSQL databases.

In the **Settings → Application Server** menu, you can configure database connection settings and view a list of projects available on the server. ABBYY FlexiCapture can use a Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, or PostgreSQL database.

Access this page with Windows authentication. Add `/winauth` after the station name in the browser address bar, for example `https://localhost/FlexiCapture12/Monitoring/winauth/#Settings/DbConn`.

## Set up a database connection

To set up a database connection, [create a new database](/flexi-capture/admin-guide/create-database) or [connect to an existing one](/flexi-capture/admin-guide/database-connect).

  In ABBYY FlexiCapture Release 4 Update 2, PostgreSQL is enabled by default. In earlier versions, [enable PostgreSQL](/flexi-capture/postgres-sql-enable) before you can work with PostgreSQL databases.
