# Administration and Monitoring Console

> Administration and Monitoring Console in ABBYY FlexiCapture 12: set up the site, manage tenants and licenses, and monitor processing with reports.

<Info>
  For the Administration and Monitoring Console to work correctly, make sure your browser allows JavaScript and pop-up windows.
</Info>

The **Administration and Monitoring Console** is a web interface for the Application Server. Use it to [set up](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/mmc-prepare) the entire system (site) and [monitor](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/monitoring) its operation.

## Open the Console

You can open the Console on any computer that can access the Application Server. In the browser address bar, type `https://<ApplicationServer>/FlexiCapture12/Monitoring`, where `<ApplicationServer>` is the name of the computer on which the Application Server is installed.

The Console launches automatically right after the Application Server is installed. You can then establish a database [connection](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/settings) and set up [access permissions](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/permissions) for tenants.

## Monitor the system

The Console lets you [monitor ABBYY FlexiCapture](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/monitoring) by [viewing processing statistics](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/mmc-monitoring-proc-proc) and generating [performance reports](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/reports-performance) and [processing reports](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/reports-processing). Based on this data, you can change your ABBYY FlexiCapture configuration or reallocate resources.

## Multitenancy

ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 supports **multitenancy**, which lets multiple users access the system at the same time, independently of one another. Each tenant has its own projects, batches, users, and groups, and cannot access the data of any other tenant.

## User roles and permissions

### ABBYY FlexiCapture administrator

The ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 administrator sets up and manages tenants, with permissions to:

* Manage the main license
* Create and manage the database
* Create, edit, and delete tenants
* View ABBYY FlexiCapture performance reports

The administrator can also set up document processing workflows in the *default tenant*, including:

* Create user accounts and user groups
* Manage projects and batches
* View system performance and operator reports
* Create custom reports

The ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 administrator does not have access to any user information in the tenants.

### Operators Manager

An Operators Manager has permissions to:

* Assign Operator roles to users
* Manage permissions for the Operator role
* Create and delete Operator groups with specific permissions
* Add and remove users from Operator groups
* Approve user requests

For Operators Managers, only the **Users**, **Groups**, and **Requests** tabs are available on the **Settings** page.

### Tenant administrator

When [creating a tenant](/flexi-capture/web-stations/monitoring-console/mmc-tenant-new), the administrator specifies the email address of the user who receives Tenant Administrator permissions. A tenant administrator manages document processing within their tenant, but cannot manage other tenants or access their data and database settings.

A tenant administrator can:

* Create user accounts, user groups, and accounts with Tenant Administrator permissions
* Grant permissions to users
* Manage projects and batches
* Monitor document processing
* View system performance and operator reports

### Monitoring Operator

A Monitoring Operator ensures compliance with SLAs and assesses system performance based on reports.

### User

A user can create a user account and request roles and permissions for projects. Users can:

* Work on stations
* Request additional permissions
* Change the data they specified when creating their account

## License information

License information is available only when the Processing Server is running. If it is not running, the message **Data could not be accessed** appears instead.

The ABBYY FlexiCapture administrator can view the main license on the Summary page. A tenant administrator can view a tenant's personal license, but not the main license.
