# User roles

> User roles on FlexiCapture web stations: what Web Capture, Scanning, Verification, and Senior Verification Operators and Administrators can do.

Operators on ABBYY FlexiCapture web stations are granted different access permissions depending on their job function. The roles available to you depend on the station.

    Web Capture Station operators can have the following roles:

    * **Web Capture Operator** – Scans documents, adds images from folders, selects document batch types, processes images, verifies recognized data, corrects document assembly and batch rule errors, and exports batches to an external system.
    * **Administrator** – Has access to all of the station's functionality.

    The Administrator grants access permissions to the operators involved in the project.

    Web Scanning Station operators can have the following roles:

    * **Scanning Operator** – Has access to the scanning profiles and can add images manually or from a folder.
    * **Administrator** – Has access to all of the station's functionality.

    The Administrator grants access permissions to the operators involved in the project.

    Web Verification Station operators can have the following roles:

    * **Verification Operator** – Takes an available task from a queue, postpones a task, sends a task to another stage, verifies data, checks document assembly errors, and checks the rules for the task being processed.
    * **Senior Verification Operator** – Has access to all of the station's functionality, including batch routing and task selection.

    The Administrator grants access permissions to the operators involved in the project. The Administrator can also create custom roles by granting users permissions to specific processing stages only. For example, the Administrator can grant access to different verification stages of the same batch to different users or groups, so that different users verify different sets of fields.
