# Scan and load images from files

> Scan pages or load image files into a new batch on FlexiCapture web stations, choose batch types, and use the batches view to send batches for processing.

*(Web Scanning)* Once you have [logged in to the station](/flexi-capture/web-stations/login-page) and selected a project, you are directed to a page where you can scan pages or load image files.

On this page, you can:

* *(Web Scanning)* Scan pages or add image files into a new batch
* *(Web Scanning)* Specify [batch type settings](/flexi-capture/web-stations/scanning/batch-types)
* *(Web Scanning)* Open the list of [rescanning tasks](/flexi-capture/web-stations/scanning/rescanning)

## Batches view

*(Web Scanning)* This view shows the following controls at the top of the window:

* *(Web Scanning)* **Batch Type** – A drop-down list where you select the type for your new batch. Batch types are created on the Project Setup Station.
* *(Web Scanning)* **Batch Type Settings** – Opens the [Batch Type Settings](/flexi-capture/web-stations/scanning/batch-types) page.
* *(Web Scanning)* **Add from scanner** – Creates a new batch from scans obtained with a scanner.
* *(Web Scanning)* **Add from folder** – Creates a new batch from image files.
* *(Web Scanning)* **List** – Switches between the list of batches and the list of rescanning tasks.

<Note>
  *(Web Scanning)* You can hide the panel by clicking **Hide** in the top-right corner. To reopen the panel, click **Create new batch**.

*(Web Scanning)* To sort batches of the selected type by processing stage, use the following tabs:

* *(Web Scanning)* **All batches** – Shows all batches in the project.
* *(Web Scanning)* **At scanning stage** – Shows only batches that are currently at the scanning stage.
* *(Web Scanning)* **Require verification** – Shows only batches that require verification.
* *(Web Scanning)* **Processed** – Shows batches with the **Processed** status.

*(Web Scanning)* When you select a batch in the list, the following buttons appear at the bottom of the page:

* *(Web Scanning)* **Send** – Sends the selected batches to FlexiCapture.
* *(Web Scanning)* **Delete** – Deletes the selected batches.

## Scan or load images into a new batch

    Select a batch type for your new batch *(Web Scanning)* at the top of the page *(Web Capture)* in the drop-down menu on the top panel.   <Step title="Add pages from a scanner or folder">
    Start adding pages by clicking the button that matches your image source:

    * *(Web Capture)* **Scan Documents** *(Web Scanning)* **Add from scanner** – adds images from a scanner. When you choose this option, the station asks you to select a scanner.
    * *(Web Capture)* **Add images from folder...** *(Web Scanning)* **Add from Folder** – adds images from files.

      *(Web Capture)* If scanning settings are not specified, the station prompts you to specify them after you click **Scan Documents**.

    Depending on the method you chose, either scan the paper documents or specify a path to the files.
