# Task queues

> Get verification tasks from processing queues on the Web Verification Station, with priority rules, postponed tasks, and queue filtering options.

After you [log in to the station](/flexi-capture/web-stations/login-page) and select a project, you see a page where you can get tasks from the queues. The list of available queues depends on your [role](/flexi-capture/web-stations/roles-web-stations). In **Queues** view, you can select a task in any of the processing queues available to you.

For each queue, separate tabs display:

* The queue name.
* The number of tasks in the queue.
* Whether personal tasks are available (tasks assigned to a specific user).
* The task priorities.

A Senior Verification Operator can view detailed task information by clicking the **Explore queue** link.

## Get a task from a queue

To start processing a task from a particular queue, click the **Get task** button on the queue's tab. You receive the task with the highest priority. If all tasks have equal priority but the queue contains a personal task, you receive that personal task. If there are no personal tasks, you receive tasks in the order they were created.

<Note>
  You receive overdue tasks, or tasks about to become overdue, ahead of the other tasks in their queue. The only exception is tasks with **extra-high** priority, which are processed ahead of overdue batches.
</Note>

To start processing a task from any queue, click the green **Get any task** button at the bottom of the web station page. You receive the task with the highest priority.

To check for new tasks, click the <img src="https://mintcdn.com/abbyy/M5jnw37NmJ-asKkj/images/flexi-capture/Verification_iconRefresh.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=M5jnw37NmJ-asKkj&q=85&s=c8bdee598d8c362df9045006ce37c570" alt="Refresh icon" style={{display:"inline-block",verticalAlign:"middle",margin:0}} width="14" height="17" data-path="images/flexi-capture/Verification_iconRefresh.png" /> button at the top of the page.

## Postponed tasks

If there are tasks which you started processing but then postponed, you will see a **Postponed Tasks** link at the top of the page, with the number of postponed tasks next to it. Clicking this link opens a [list of postponed tasks](/flexi-capture/web-stations/verification/postponed-tasks).

<Tip>
  Process postponed tasks first, since they are not available to other Operators. If the Operator who postponed a task leaves it unprocessed for a long time, this slows down processing of the whole batch.
</Tip>

## Additional actions available to the Senior Verification Operator role
