# Advanced Designer での Derived Skill

> Base Skill の field とルールを継承しながら、更新内容とカスタマイズを保持できる Derived Skill を Advanced Designer で作成します。

ABBYY Vantage の built-in skill と、サードパーティ開発者が公開した read-only skill は、直接編集できません。そのため、built-in skill または read-only skill から新しい Skill を派生させ、代わりにその Derived Skill を編集します。

Derived Skill は、Base Skill のすべてのルールと field を継承します。また、加えた変更をすべて保持したまま、最新の Base Skill バージョンに更新することもできます。

  自分で作成したスキルを含め、ほかの任意のスキルから Skill を派生させることもできます。

  ## Derived Skill での Vantage と Advanced Designer の使い分け
</div>

Derived Skill は、Vantage と Advanced Designer のどちらでも作成できます。特定の文書を処理するための新しい activities を追加するなど、高度なカスタマイズを行う場合は Advanced Designer を使用してください。Derived Skill のドキュメント処理フローに大幅な変更を加えた場合は、その後の編集も Advanced Designer で続けてください。
