# 文書を手動でインデックス登録する

> スキャンしたページを文書としてまとめ、種類別にタグ付けし、field の値を手入力します。

手動インデックスは、Vantage の抽出に頼るのではなく、スキャン後に Operator が各文書の field の値を手入力するフローです。必要な field が Skill で生成されない場合や、元の画像の品質が低すぎて自動抽出できない場合に使用します。

  ## 始める前に

インデックス化に使用する[文書タイプ](/ja/vantage/documentation/scanning-station/interface/document-types)を定義します。各種類では、オペレーターが入力する登録パラメーター (fields) を表示できるようにする必要があります。

  手作業でインデックス化する画像用に、個別のバッチ種類を作成します。これにより、手動インデックス化用のバッチが自動処理されるバッチと混在するのを防げます。

    スキャンしたページを1 つの文書にまとめます。[文書を作成する](/ja/vantage/documentation/scanning-station/operator/working-with-batches#create-a-document)を参照してください。

  <Step title="文書タイプを割り当てる">
    文書のプロパティを開きます。**Registration Parameters** タブで、**Type** ドロップダウンから文書タイプを選択します。
