# Texts Array Elements

> Elements of the texts array in Vantage OCR JSON output describe text blocks: position, language, orientation, and the lines, words, and characters inside.

Elements of a **texts** array are objects describing text blocks. Each text block consists of strings, which in turn consist of words, and words - of characters.

| Property                                                | Data type    | Description                                                                                                                                |
| :------------------------------------------------------ | :----------- | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `id`                                                    | `string`     | The text block identifier.                                                                                                                 |
| `position`                                              | `rect`       | Coordinates of the rectangular region on the document containing the text block.                                                           |
| `confidence`                                            | `confidence` | The level of confidence for the text in the block being recognized correctly. Calculated using confidence values for strings in the block. |
