This tutorial will guide you through making a simplified copy of a built-in skill created using Advanced Designer, which extracts data from sick notes issued in Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands. You can learn more about this skill in the Vantage Skill Catalog Guide. The structure of these documents and the scope of information therein may vary significantly. To handle all these differences, a tool more elaborate than a standard Vantage Document skill is required. With the help of Advanced Designer, you will first classify the documents by layout and then create a separate set of extraction rules for each of the classes. Adding a Fast Learning activity at the end of the document processing flow will allow for further training of the skill using standard Vantage technologies.
