The type of a document determines the fields to be extracted and the validation rules to be used. A type is assigned to each document automatically. If the program fails to determine the type of a document, its type will be automatically set to “Unknown”. The document fields of this type cannot be extracted, however, the document image will be displayed. You can change the type of a document in the list of documents. This may be necessary when a document has been assigned an incorrect type or no type at all (“Unknown” document type). In manual review mode, these types are displayed in red. To change the type of a document:
  1. Click the more options button and select Change Document Type.
  2. Select the appropriate type for your document.
Note: Set the document type to “Unknown” if none of the available document types are applicable. The previously extracted data will be lost.
After changing the document type, you will be prompted to start the extraction again. If you choose not to start the extraction, you will need to manually complete any empty fields that will appear on the data form after you change the type of the document. Low-confidence document types are also displayed in red. To confirm a low-confidence document type, click Confirm Document Type.
