# Document Properties dialog box

> View and edit properties of a document — name, registration parameters, and document type.

The **Document Properties** dialog box displays the properties of the selected document.

## How to open

Select the document in the [Batches](/vantage/documentation/scanning-station/interface/batches-window) window or image window, then do one of:

* Choose **Page > Properties...**
* Right-click the document and choose **Properties...**
* Press **Alt+Enter**

## Tabs

### General

Displays general properties of the document: name, its batch, its number in the batch, and the number of pages in the document. You can rename the document here.

### Registration Parameters

Shows the document's registration parameters:

* **Type** — the document type.
* **Name** — required parameters are marked with an asterisk (\*). A batch can't be sent until every required parameter has a value.
* **Value** — enter the parameter's value.
* **Comment** — optional comment about the parameter.
