The Input activity lets you import documents to ABBYY Vantage from email services, shared folders, and from any other third-party application (via the ABBYY Vantage API). A Process skill is required to have an Input activity. Vantage creates transactions for files of any format, however, transactions containing any number of unsupported files are completed with errors. For a transaction to be completed successfully, all files contained therein must be of a supported format. By default, the Input activity imports documents only via the Vantage API. Import from these additional sources can be disabled for specific skills in Skill Monitor.
