An abbreviation of document unit, equals 1/300 of an inch. A unit of measurement used to measure distances on an image. Does not depend on resolution. For a 300 dpi image, a distance of 1 dot equals 1 pixel.ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio allows you to select a unit of measurement to be used for all search constraints specified in the Properties dialog boxes of the elements. See Units of measurement for details. When specifying search constraints in the FlexiLayout language (the Advanced tab of the Properties dialog box), other units of measurement can also be used: cm, mm, inch, pt (see Coordinates and units of measurement). All these units of measurement also do not depend on the resolution of your images, allowing you to match one and the same FlexiLayout with images scanned at different resolutions.
