ABBYY FineReader Engine 12 accepts input digital documents in the following formats:
  • text documents: DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, TXT, ODT
  • tables: XLS, XLSX, ODS
  • presentations: PPT, PPTX, ODP
In Linux , opening documents in these formats requires libcrypt.so.1 library installed on the workstation.
In Windows …
  • Opening documents in these formats requires .NET Framework 4.6.2.
  • Opening documents in XLS, XLSX, ODS formats with the OCT_MsOffice setting requires Microsoft Excel installed on the workstation and the Print Spooler service started up.
