Projects created in a standalone edition of ABBYY FlexiCapture live in the file system. You can open ABBYY FlexiCapture 10 or 11 projects (.fcproj) and use them in ABBYY FlexiCapture 12.

What to expect when you open an older project

  • Opening an .fcproj project in ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 makes it impossible to open again in version 10 or 11. Copy the project first if you still need the older version.
  • You may need to delete all processing results and analyze all pages again.

Use an old project without repeating recognition

You can keep using old projects without repeating recognition, but some data may display incorrectly. For example, format errors in a version 10 or 11 project display differently in the document window.
