How ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 handles projects from earlier versions
You can use ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio projects and FlexiLayouts created in earlier versions. After installation, ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 becomes the default application for all *.fcproj and *.fsp files. ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 remains the default application even when version 10 or 11 is on the same computer.
Opening a project created in an earlier version converts it to the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 format. A converted project can no longer be opened in the earlier version.
After ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 is installed, you can resume processing your tasks even while some of your projects are still being updated. The program first takes tasks from projects that have been fully updated.Use FCAdminTools to find out which projects are still waiting to be updated. For more information, see the CheckProjectsVersion command.
Check that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or newer is installed. If errors persist even though your hardware meets all software requirements and every required permission is granted, analyze the installation wizard error logs. For more information, see Installation problems.
