You can customize how the surroundings of characters and fields are displayed during verification.

Open the Adjacent Area tab

In the main menu, click Tools → Options…, and then open the Adjacent Area tab.

Set the size

Select the adjacent area size from the Size drop-down list.

Set the opacity

Set the opacity of the adjacent area with the Contrast slider.
You can see an example in the Preview box.
Changes to the adjacent area size take effect in the next verification session.
