Operate a configured project

Documents move through a series of processing stages, and operators monitor that processing and correct errors in documents and batches. How the work is divided depends on your installation type.

When you create and set up a project, specify the stages at which operator control or error correction is required, and the circumstances that call for it. Task queues are created for those stages.A separate exceptions queue is also available for problem documents.Operators start their own stations and work within the access permissions granted to them.

Before an operator can process documents, the Administrator has to configure the project. Processing can be configured to require minimal operator involvement in image scanning and import, data recognition, and export. The operator’s main stage of work is then verification, that is, checking and correcting recognized data.The type of document does not affect the operator’s work.Document processing consists of four stages, and each stage has a corresponding button on the toolbar.

Stage	Button	What the button does
1. Add page images		The arrow on the right selects an image import option: Load Images, Scan Images…, or one of the configured import profiles. The button name changes with the selected action.
2. Recognition		Runs document recognition. The arrow on the right also analyzes documents or applies one of the Document Definitions.
3. Verification of recognized data		Runs verification. The arrow also runs rule validation.
4. Export recognized data		Starts data export according to the Document Definition settings. The arrow specifies whether to export data to a file or a database, or to export document images.
