The program selects a matching Document Definition using anchor elements and identifiers, and then recognizes the data in the document regions that match the fields of that Document Definition. The ratio of reliably recognized characters to the total number of characters appears in the Certainly Recognized Characters column.

Re-recognize documents after a project change

If the project changes during recognition and the project includes a verification stage, the Verification Operator and the Senior Verification Operator can re-recognize the documents with the new settings.To re-recognize documents, start the Verification Station and click Tools → Update to Latest Version in the main menu.

Troubleshoot the BatchHeader.tmp error

Recognition can report Cannot create \BatchHeader.tmp. The specified file already exists. The Windows Search indexing service causes this error. It processes the files that the program creates in the project folder and deletes during operation. To resolve it, disable the Windows Search indexing service.
